‘I’m usually homeboys with the same niggas I’m rhymin’ wit
But this is hip hop and them niggas should know what time it is
And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big KRIT, Wale
Pusha T, Meek Millz, A$AP Rocky, Drake
Big Sean, Jay Electron’, Tyler, Mac Miller
I got love for you all but I’m tryna murder you niggas
Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you niggas
They don’t wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you niggas’
Kendrick Lamar sent ripples through the rap world with his crazed and angry verse on Big Sean’s new song Control. He was definitely trying to get some attention and it worked. He had a lot a replies and a lot was talked about, Drake’s being the most famous. Kendrick definitely came out on top as he usually does, good kid, m.A.A.d city has got to be one of the best hip hop albums ever made, and at the moment he can’t be beat.
A new collaboration between Kendrick Lamar and Pusha T has been released and you can really feel the tension, Pusha T tweeted after Control was released “I hear u loud and clear my nigga… @kendricklamar”. The two rappers seem to try and outdo each other battling for their own supremacy by linking it to their experiences dealing coke. This is all backed by echoing shouts, screeching guitar chords and soft drums. The whole thing feels dangerous.
‘You want to see a dead body?’
